While it has been over a century and a half since Edgar Allan Poe graced us with a work of detective fiction or gothic horror, his legacy lives on. Within the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, Poe historians will retell four of his most famous stories with a modern twist. The chilling tales feature The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Masque of Red Death and The Black Cat.
The one-of-a-kind speakeasy has taken up residence at Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community. A former school from the late 1970s, the Mission-style venue now serves as a dynamic center for various cultural and educational experiences.
