In fact, the iconic yellow-gold vertical also provides views of the Sacramento River as well as Old Sacramento’s historic district.
2. Have a laugh at Laughs Unlimited

Established in 1980, Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club in Old Sacramento is one of the longest standing comedy spots in the city. Many comedy legends have worked the stage here, including Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Dana Carvey. Show times vary, but they usually run for around 90 minutes and feature up-and-coming stars as well as seasoned pros.
3. Sip on a cold one at a brewery

We love a good beer in Sacramento, so it’s no surprise that the city’s teeming with countless breweries and taprooms. They’ve got loads of specialty lagers and craft IPAs as well as an impressive collection of bar snacks and small bites in their inventory. King Cong Brewing Company stays open until around 11pm on the weekend and Drake’s: The Barn stays pulling IPA pints in their beer garden until 12am.
4. Immerse yourself in the glow of a Candlelight concert
Candlelight concerts in Sacramento continue to spread their magic inside some of the city’s most impressive settings, including California State Railroad Museum. Yep, you read that right — Dive Bar is a downtown watering hole where mermaids come to play. There’s a 40-foot saltwater aquarium above the bar and performers dressed in glittery mermaid attire put on a dazzling show underwater. DJs hit the decks on the weekend and bartenders craft delicious cocktails with an aquatic theme.
8. Coin-Op Game Room

40 classic arcade games await at Coin-Op Game Room. You can expect 1980s classics like Pac-Man, Tetris and Mortal Kombat as well as pinball machines, giant jenga and even cornholes for added fun. On the weekends, they open until 2am, making a visit to this game haven one of the top things to do at night in Sacramento.
